Pondicherry Holidays plans tours across Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka with car and driver. The old site was rebuilt from scratch on a new theme while keeping its content. It is live at pondicherryholidays.com.
What I built for Pondicherry Holidays
- A new design and a custom theme and plugin for tour packages, destinations, places to visit and activities.
- A trip finder on the home page that filters by destination, interest and trip type.
- Linked tours, places and blog posts, so visitors always see related trips.
- WhatsApp enquiries, a wishlist, light/dark mode and a built-in SEO module.
- Migration of the existing content, with redirects so old links keep working.
Design approach
Travellers compare many options before they enquire, so the design focuses on clear trip cards, honest details and an easy way to ask a question. Information is grouped the way travellers think – by place and by interest – which is the heart of good information architecture.
