This free resume builder turns your details into a clean, printable resume. Type into the form, watch the live preview, and save the result as a PDF. There is no account to create, and your data stays in your browser.
How to use the resume builder
- Fill in your personal details: name, job title, email, phone, location, and links to your LinkedIn profile or portfolio.
- Write a short summary of who you are and what you are looking for.
- Add your work experience, education and projects. Each of these can repeat, so add one entry per job, course or project.
- List your skills, certifications and languages.
- Choose the Classic or Modern template and check the live preview.
- Press Print and choose Save as PDF in your browser’s print dialog.
Your resume is saved automatically in this browser, so you can close the tab and continue later. To move it to another device or keep a backup, use Export to download the data as a JSON file, and Import to load it again.
Tip: Browser storage is cleared when you clear your browsing data or use a private window. Export a JSON backup after each big edit.
Classic or Modern?
Both templates hold the same information; only the look changes. Classic is a calm, traditional layout that suits banking, government, teaching and most corporate roles. Modern has a little more visual style, which can suit design, marketing and tech roles. If you are not sure, choose Classic. A recruiter will never reject a resume for being too plain.
What to write in each section
| Section | Good practice |
|---|---|
| Summary | Two or three lines: your role, years of experience and what you are good at. Leave out phrases like “hard-working team player” that every applicant uses. |
| Work experience | Newest job first. Under each job, list what you achieved, not only your duties. Start each line with a verb, such as Built, Reduced or Led. |
| Projects | Very useful for freshers. Name the project, your role, the tools you used and a link if it is online. |
| Education | Degree, college, city and year. Add your marks only if they help you. |
| Skills | Specific skills you can show in an interview, such as Figma, HTML, CSS, SQL or Tally, rather than vague words. |
| Certifications and languages | Add certificates that relate to the job, and the languages you can work in, for example English, Tamil and Hindi. |
Tips for a resume that gets read
- Match the job post. Use the same words the employer uses for skills and tools. Many companies screen resumes with software that looks for those words.
- Keep it short. One page is enough for most freshers; two pages suit experienced people.
- Use numbers where you can, for example “cut page load time from 6 s to 2 s” or “handled 40 customer calls a day”.
- Check your contact details twice. A wrong phone number or email address can cost you an interview.
- Name the PDF clearly, such as
Priya-Raman-Resume.pdf, notresume-final-2.pdf.
For a print-friendly PDF, turn off the browser’s Headers and footers option in the print dialog so the date and page address do not appear on your resume. You can read more about how printing works on MDN’s window.print() page.

Frequently asked questions
Is this resume builder really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no watermark and no payment. The PDF is made by your own browser’s print feature.
Is my personal information uploaded anywhere?
No. Your details are saved only in your browser on this device. Anyone using the same browser profile could see them, so on a shared computer, export a JSON backup and then clear the form.
What is the JSON file for?
It is a backup of everything you typed. Import it later, or on another computer, to carry on editing without retyping your resume.
Resume or CV: what is the difference?
In India the two words are often used for the same thing. Strictly, a resume is a short summary aimed at one job, while a CV is a longer, complete record, often used in academic jobs. This tool suits a resume of one or two pages.
