TNChatZone is a free chat app for Tamil Nadu that I designed and built. People can chat in public rooms for their district or interest, make password-protected private rooms for friends, college groups or family, and play quick games to earn coins.
What you can do in TNChatZone
Public rooms cover every district – from Chennai to Kanyakumari – and topics such as Kollywood, cricket, jobs and students. Private rooms have a password, so only the people you invite can join. Between chats there are 19 free games – including Tamil classics like Pallanguzhi and Aadu Puli Attam – and a Tamil Nadu quiz with 210 questions.
How I built it
The Android app is built with Flutter. Messages are delivered live through Firebase, and the PHP + MySQL backend handles accounts, rooms, coins, games and the admin panel. Coins are earned and spent inside the app only – they can never be cashed out. The app is for users aged 18 and over.
TNChatZone is in testing on Google Play and will be available to everyone soon. Until then you can play the games in your browser on tnchatzone.com.
